Thru the Chute Boat Race

Thru the Chute is a cardboard boat race held annually at the New Braunfels City Tube Chute. Competitors launch their handmade vessels through the Chute as spectators cheer them on!

Parking

Free parking will be available at Prince Solms Park and at other nearby public lots, including those on Elizabeth Avenue and Hinman Island Drive. Please park in designated public areas and avoid parking on private property. Use our interactive parking map to find places to park in New Braunfels.

 

Event Guidelines & Important Info

  • The City Tube Chute is a river park, and the non-disposable container ordinance will still be in effect. Alcohol is also not allowed on the river banks. 
  • Once you’re at the event, remember to keep walkways clear for emergency personnel and event staff.

 

Schedule

  • Boat check-in: 7:30 - 9 a.m.
  • First launch & activities begin: 10 a.m.
