The Ten Heritage Tribes
*The event has already taken place on this date: Thu, 06/12/2025
In celebration of Juneteenth, please join us at San Antonio Public Library for a brief lecture on the Ten Heritage Tribes. Jahsanna “Jah” Randolph is a Howard University alumna, Afro-Indigenous history educator, writer, and artist.
The Ten Heritage Tribes explores the origins of Black Diasporic peoples, introducing the ten African tribes we were most stolen from, their cultural traditions, and how their impact manifests today. In this lecture, we also briefly examine the present and future of the ever-evolving Black American identity.
