The Journey to Mars - Celebrating NASA's 60th Anniversary

Celebrate NASA's 60th Anniversary with The Journey to Mars community engagement day.

Kids will have the opportunity to build a straw rocket, create a Mars habitat using 3D printing pens, learn about the effects of lower gravity and more.

9 am - Journey to Mars Hands on Table Activities: Build a Rocket, Build a Mars Habitat with a 3D pen, Build a Rover, Program an Ozobot. Bronco Botz - Brandeis FRC Robotics team demos. FLL - First Lego League - Project showcase.
10 am - Space Themed Costume Contest
11 am - Dr. Cynthia Dinwiddie of SWRI speaks on Mars research (in the planetarium)
12 pm - Mars 1001 planetarium show (must have a ticket given with completed activities)
